Choose which unit plays each MIDI track. Tracks exported from Stanley Studio map themselves. Drums use General MIDI notes; CC7, CC10 and CC91 set level, pan and reverb send.
Driven by every note, the spectrum, sections, settings and the vocoder
Auto changes scene at each new section. Kicks pulse, snares and hats throw sparks, notes land on a circle of fifths so chords draw shapes, and the scope follows the bass. Reverb lengthens the trails, tape adds grain and the Bit crush character effect pixelates the picture. Each take records the master MP3, a MIDI file of every note and setting change with a written recipe, (with Stems on) a pre-master MP3 per instrument, and (with Video on) the visuals at 720p with the master audio. Export packs them into one .zip; on iPhone, tap it in Files to open the folder.
Every unit is a Web Audio emulation of your rig, voiced after the plugin it is named for. A web page can't host the real VST/LV2 plugins, so these are synthesised patches, and the 808 is synthesised rather than jdrummer's recorded kit. Tap a cell to write a step; melodic units are monophonic with one note per step. Your pattern saves in this browser.
